STUDENT ARCHITECTS MAY HELP SHAPE PLANS FOR A NEW FINE ARTS BUILDING ON THE UNK CAMPUS

Architecture students from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln may help shape the plans for a new fine arts building on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus.

Seventeen students in a class taught by Nathan Krug, UNL associate professor of architecture, will be on the UNK campus this Friday and Saturday (March 4-5) to meet with faculty and learn what their needs would be in a new building. On Saturday, the students will tour various locations on the campus to view other future campus building projects.

On Friday, they will meet with fine arts faculty from 1:30 – 5 p.m. in the art annex of the current Fine Arts Building. On Saturday morning, from 9 – noon, they will tour various campus buildings.

The UNK liaison for the UNL group is Michael “Mike” Tomczak, UNK campus architect.

If you wish to connect with the group on Friday or Saturday for an interview, contact Mike at: 308.4401560.
