UNK– Current and former officers of the University of Nebraska at Kearney Psychology Club helped raise more than $6,000 recently for the Therapeutic Riding Program at the I Believe In Me Ranch.
The students helped waitress from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at a local restaurant for the 12th annual “Fools Night Out.”
“In addition to volunteering their services, the students donated their tips back to the Ranch Therapeutic Riding Program, which amounted to $145,” said Dr. Richard Miller, UNK Psychology Club faculty adviser.
The UNK Psychology Club is open to students of any major. Its purpose is to advance the science of psychology and to encourage, stimulate and maintain scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology.
UNK Psychology Club officers, listed alphabetically by hometown, include: Elgin– Krystine Hoefer; North Platte– Abigail Harris and Colleen Stockwell; and Ord– Alicia Webber.
