UNK – Watercolors by University of Nebraska at Kearney senior Shannon Runge of Kearney are currently on exhibit in the UNK Walker Art Gallery.
The exhibition, titled “This is Home,” will be up in the gallery now through Friday. The show is free and open to the public.
“Nebraska landscape, although simple, can be vibrant and beautiful at times, and I try to produce that in my paintings,” Runge said. “I try to paint my surroundings so that others may see the beauty in everyday simple things as I do.” The exhibit is Runge’s senior show.
After graduation, Runge plans to continue working for her current employer, and create photography and paintings.
The Walker Gallery, which is located in the UNK Fine Arts Building, is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
