The University of Nebraska at Kearney chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity will be hosting the 2006 Fireman’s Bar-B-Que at the downtown station of the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department.
The barbecue, which begins at noon, is an annual event held by Pi Kappa Alpha. Fraternity members will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs from noon to 3 p.m.
“This is a benefit that we do every year for the firemen to let them know just how much we appreciate all that they do,” said Beatrice native Nate Eskra, community service chairman for Pi Kappa Alpha.
