The 25th annual Japanese Festival was hosted Sunday evening, bringing the sights, sounds and flavors of a traditional Japanese summer celebration to the Nebraskan Student Union. Organized by the Japanese Association at Kearney, the event included live music and dance performances, interactive quizzes and games. Guests also enjoyed popular foods such as okonomiyaki (savory pancake), yakisoba (stir-fried noodle dish), pickled cucumbers and warabi mochi (traditional dessert).
