About 30 area students entering fourth through sixth grades spent the past four weeks making props and learning lines, music and dance for their upcoming performance of “Madagascar: A Musical Adventure Jr.” at 10 a.m. Friday at UNK’s Miriam Drake Theatre.
Instructors from Crane River Theater of Kearney led the Performing Arts Academy, which is part of the Loper Launch Enrichment Camp, a curriculum-based summer camp hosted by UNK. Friday’s performance is free and open to the public.
