KEARNEY – The entire University of Nebraska at Kearney family will join to raise funds Oct. 6-7 for the second annual One Day for UNK campaign. Early giving is available now.
Loper Giving Day is a 24-hour virtual day of giving and engagement in support of UNK students.
It’s a chance for the Kearney community and Lopers everywhere to provide critical funds for scholarships, UNK’s three colleges, various programs, student organizations, Loper Athletics and other great causes.
Here’s how to be a part of One Day for UNK:
- Give Boldly – Visit givingday.unk.edu to learn more and make your gift. Together, we can help reach the goal of 1,905 gifts made to honor the founding year of UNK. In addition, make one or more gifts totaling $60 or more before noon on Oct. 7, and you’ll receive a Blue, Gold, Bold Scarf.
- Spread the Word – Encourage others to give. Share information with your family and friends and use #OneDayforUNK on your social media posts.
- Area Challenges – We encourage alumni, friends and fans of each of UNK’s colleges, departments, offices and athletics teams to support their cause and unlock more than $30,000 in challenge dollars from generous donors. View challenges.
“So many areas of UNK were impacted by the 1,500 gifts made during last year’s inaugural One Day for UNK,” Chancellor Doug Kristensen said. “This demonstration of Loper support was especially meaningful to our students and their campus organizations, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for this year’s giving day. Please join us this Oct. 6-7 as we strive for 1,905 gifts in recognition of the year this great campus was founded.”

During last year’s inaugural event, more than $237,000 was given for all areas of UNK.
