On July 6, the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, or SEVP, through the U.S. Customs and Enforcement Program in the Department of Homeland Security, issued a revision for the fall 2020 semester that rescinds the prior temporary adaptations during the 2020 spring and summer semesters.

Based on a review of the new guidance, students in the U.S. and enrolled full time at UNK will be able to continue their education here under the university’s current fall 2020 plan to provide in-person, remote and online opportunities for students. Students who are unable to return to the U.S. will also be able to continue in the fall through online courses.

Tracy Falconer oversees international admissions and immigration. She and her team are in regular contact with international students to help students with fall scheduling and ensure compliance. She can be reached at 308-865-8873 or falconerts@unk.edu.

The UNK community values and welcomes our international students who add richness to our campus and community. We will do everything we can to ensure international students have a great experience at UNK.
