KEARNEY – A University of Nebraska at Kearney fraternity is hosting a fish fry fundraiser to create awareness and bring in money for Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Phi Delta Theta is hosting the event from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Harmon Park’s Sycamore Room, 3100 Fifth Ave. in Kearney.
Fish, french fries, coleslaw and drinks will be served.
Tickets are $10 at the door the day of the event or $7 if purchased in advance from any fraternity member. Raffles for gift cards to various Kearney businesses also will be sold.
All proceeds from the fishfry will go to Live Like Lou, a national organization that raises money and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a progressive disease that attacks nerve cells that control muscles throughout the body.
