Dianne McDole receives Employee Achievement Award for December

Dianne-McDole-Rotator_ppDianne McDole, office associate for the Biology Department, is recognized by UNK Staff Senate with the Employee Achievement Award for December.

McDole has been employed at UNK since September 2014.

The Employee Achievement Award recognizes staff for exemplary service and notable contributions to their department and UNK community, embracing an attitude of teamwork, commitment to excellence, contributing to high staff morale and other notable awards or recognition on and off campus.

McDole previously worked part-time as office associate for UNK’s online Master of Science program. She was then hired in the biology office to replace longtime employee Judy Kuebler, who retired in July. McDole continues to handle both job responsibilities, and was recognized for handling 1.5 jobs.

Comments from those who nominated McDole:

“Because she was already familiar with the operation of the department, Dianne helped make a smooth transition between office associates. Even though our department is the largest in our college with 25 faculty, two other staff and 10 graduates students, Dianne’s previous experience with John Deere International in Moline, Ill., and the Rock Island Illinois Public School District has allowed her to keep up with our active department.”

“Dianne strives to do what is best for the department as a whole and takes the initiative to investigate options to improve our efficiency.”

“Dianne sets high standards for herself and her work. … Her outgoing personality helps make this an enjoyable work environment for faculty and a welcoming place for students and visitors.”
