The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City – Omaha Branch, in collaboration with the University of Nebraska at Kearney, will host an Economic Forum in Kearney on Nov 12. The event will include lunch followed by an update on the U.S. economy from Jonathan Willis, vice president and economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
The Kearney Economic Forum will take place at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 12 in the Nebraskan Student Union. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Visit www.kansascityfed.org/Omaha to register. The deadline to register is Nov. 9.
The Kansas City Fed has hosted Economic Forums in communities across the seven states of the Tenth Federal Reserve District for more than 60 years. In addition to presentations on key economic issues and monetary policy objectives and concerns, Economic Forums provide an opportunity for local business and community leaders to share their views with the Federal Reserve.
As the regional headquarters of the nation’s central bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and its branches in Denver, Oklahoma City and Omaha serve the seven states of the Tenth Federal Reserve District: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and western Missouri.
