KEARNEY – The library at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is hosting a series of luncheons featuring VHS instructional videos that are being replaced by comparable material in an updated format.
Called “Vintage VHS Brown Bag Lunch Series,” the viewings are free and open to the public. Those attending are encouraged to bring their lunch.
Showings will occur from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursdays in June and July at UNK’s Calvin T. Ryan Library in the Curriculum Meeting Room on the lower level.
The lineup of videos planned includes:
- Thursday – “Sexual Harassment from 9 to 5” (1992)
- Thursday – “From Being a Secretary to Being a Boss” (1988)
- June 25 – “Cutting Edge Business Ideas for the Nanosecond ‘90s” (1992)
- June 25 – “How to Listen and Double Your Influence” (1997)
- July 2 – “9 to 5 Survival Guide” (1993)
- July 2 – “Taking Customers Seriously” (1990)
- July 9 – Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet, Volume 1, “Networking the Nerds” (1998)
- July 16 – Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet, Volume 2, “Serving the Suits” (1998)
- July 23 – Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet, Volume 3, “Wiring the World” (1998)
