KEARNEY – Dustin Favinger is the new director of the College of Business and Technology Career Center at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The Career Center opened in 2013 and prepares UNK business and technology students for professional opportunities after graduation.
Favinger works with Academic and Career Services in areas that include resume preparation, interviewing, career exploration and major selection. He also works with companies to increase career opportunities for CBT students, assists in coordinating field experiences and events, and tracks placement and career progression of CBT alumni.
In addition, he coordinates and instructs exploring business and professional readiness courses.
Favinger received his bachelor’s degree in sports administration from UNK in 2008 and master’s degree in physical education from UNK in 2010.
Prior to joining UNK he worked as vice president and director of ticket operations at the Viaero Event Center and Tri-City Storm hockey organization.
