KEARNEY – A new convenience store opening inside UNK’s Nebraskan Student Union will offer snack foods and an assortment of electronics and computer accessories.

Boost Market is opening March 27 across the hall from the Antelope Bookstore in a space that formerly housed Outtakes. The store is operated by Nebraska Book Co. and Neebo, which is UNK’s textbook, apparel and accessories company.

Boost Market is designed to give students an on-campus source for items they previously had to go off campus to purchase, said Len Fangmeyer, general manager of UNK bookstores.

“This new space allows us to expand computer and accessories lines we couldn’t previously offer in the bookstores because of space,” said Fangmeyer.

The store will offer regular sales, and many products will be sold at discounted prices traditional retailers do not offer, Fangmeyer said.

Boost Market will carry laptops, tablets and accessories, including audio products. Well-known brands such as Apple, Dell, HP, Samsung, Google Nexus, Beats by Dre, Skullcandy and Sol Republic are among those available.

The snack foods section will include Pepsi and Frito Lay products, Keurig single-serve coffee, candy and other items, including breakfast foods.
