March 6 – Students who want same room, same residence hall
March 9 – Antelope/Nester Halls; Sign-up begins at 6 p.m. in Mantor Hall.
March 11 – Students who want same residence hall, but different room
March 12-31 – Students with no residence hall or room preference

KEARNEY – University of Nebraska at Kearney students who currently live on campus can sign up for on-campus living for the 2014-15 academic year beginning March 6.
“Students have the support they need when living on campus to be successful,” said Karen Sutherland of the Office of Residence Life. “It’s easier to stay focused on academics. Our goal is to create a living environment that will help them be successful students.”
Living on campus is also more convenient, Sutherland added. Students don’t have to commute to campus, they don’t have to cook, and students are close to campus support services.
“The thing that students tell us is that they enjoy living on campus because they are close to their friends. There’s a community within the halls,” Sutherland said.
Centennial Towers East will reopen in August after undergoing renovations during the 2013-14 academic year. Conrad and Martin Halls will no longer be available housing options for students.
Students who wish to live in the same residence hall and same room must sign up on Thursday, March 6. Students requesting rooms in Antelope/Nester Halls must sign up at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in Mantor Hall.
Roommates must sign up together or have a signed roommate preference card, which are available at the front desk of each hall or in the hall director’s office.
Students who wish to live in the same hall, but want a different room, must sign up Tuesday, March 11.
Students with no residence hall or room preference can sign up between March 12-31.
There are a limited number of single rooms available for students interested. Students can sign up at www.myblue.unk.edu. For questions regarding housing sign-up, call the Office of Residence Life at 308-865-8519.
