Hildreth native to perform senior vocal recital April 7

Kearney, Neb., April 3, 2013 — Soprano Amaryah Fritz of Hildreth will perform her vocal performance degree senior recital April 7 in the University of Nebraska at Kearney Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The recital, which is free and open to the public, begins at 3 p.m.

Fritz will be performing a variety of pieces including “Music for the While” and “Sweeter than Roses” by Henry Purcell, “Bereite dir Jesu noch itzo die Bahn” by J.S. Bach, “Verlust” and “Sehnsucht” by Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, “Clair de Lune” and “En Priere” by Gabriel Faure, “Silver Aria from the Ballad of Baby Doo” by Douglas Moore, and “Someone to Watch Over Me” by George Gershwin.

She will be joined by Jennifer Zumwalt of Lincoln on violin and pianist Nancy Curry.

Fritz, daughter of Calvin and Linda Fritz, is a music education major. She is also a graduate of Wilcox-Hildreth High School, a member of the UNK Honors Program and the recipient of the 2009 Pacesetter Award.
