The alternative rock band, All-American Rejects, will perform at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Thursday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in the Health and Sports Center Arena.
Rock band A Rocket to the Moon will be opening for the Rejects at 7 p.m. The band, from Braintree, Mass., consists of Nick Santino, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist; Justin Richards, guitarist and backup vocalist; Eric Halvorsen, bassist and backup vocalist; and Andrew Cook on percussion.
Tickets are available now at the Nebraskan Student Union Welcome Desk, The College Store and Hastings Entertainment, located at 9 West 39th St., in Kearney. Tickets for UNK students, faculty and staff are $12, and general admission is $25.
The All-American Rejects recently released a new album “Kids in the Street.”
The LPAC committee producing the concert includes students Alyse Andreasen of Genoa, Chelsea Svoboda of McCook and Abby Rosenbaum of Sidney.
“These students cover all the details from beginning to end,” said Tim Danube, associate director of the Nebraskan Student Union. “They produced the surveys that went out to the students, promote the event and are getting volunteers involved. They will also make sure everything runs smoothly during the show.”
