University of Nebraska at Kearney junior Michelle Duffy will be performing a harp recital at the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall Saturday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m.
Duffy, winner of the 2011 Concerto/Aria competition, will perform “Czardas” by Vittorio Monti with flute accompaniment, “Andante” by John Parry, “Danses” by Claude Debussy with piano accompaniment and “Impromptu-Caprice” by G. Pierné. She will be accompanied by Julie Gates on the flute and Maiko Sugahara on the piano. Duffy is a harp student of Mary Bircher, an adjunct faculty member from Omaha.
Duffy is pursuing a bachelor of music degree in harp performance. The daughter of Paul and Sharon Duffy, she is a Kenesaw High School graduate.
