Opera Worshop Presents Opera Scenes Performance Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13-14, at UNK.

UNK– University of Nebraska at Kearney Opera Workshop students will perform scenes from a selection of famous operas on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13-14.

The performances, which are presented as part of the Opera Workshop course at UNK, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Fine Arts Recital Hall, located in the UNK Fine Arts Building.

According to Dr. Anne Foradori, UNK music and performing arts professor, the opera content is appropriate for school-age children to adults. Both performances are free and open to the public.

The scenes performed are from several different composers’ operas including W.A. Mozart, Jules Massenet, Johann Strauss Jr. and Lee Hoiby.
