UNK- “Embracing the Forces of Change” will be focus of a presentation by female business executive distinguished speaker Molly Murphy at the University of Nebraska at Kearney on Tuesday, March 9.
Murphy, the Eaton Corporation sales director, will discuss changes across the world that influence leaders and businesses. Eaton Corporation is an industrial manufacturer that provides systems and services for industrial, mobile and aircraft equipment.
The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 6 p.m. in Copeland Hall Room #142. Her presentation is sponsored by the UNK College of Business and Technology. However, because seating is limited, individuals planning to attend need to RSVP to Carrie Stithem, Center for Rural Research and Development (CRRD) assistant to the director, at 308.865.8199 or stithemcl@unk.edu.
“This discussion will explore the impact of global market dynamics, transformation to a sustainable culture, and the power of social networking and media,” Stithem said.
Murphy has more than 14 years of experience working for the Eaton Corporation within the human relations department, and E-business venture and channel. Before her employment with Eaton Corporation, Murphy served as a director for family businesses, and as a strategic planning and entrepreneurship professor at Marquette University.
In April, Murphy will move to Shanghai, China, to work as the Eaton Corporation vice president of Asia Pacific Sales Operations.
Before giving her keynote address, Murphy will be speaking to UNK classes on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 9-10.
