Bill Bauhard of Omaha, former chief financial officer for Omnium Worldwide, Inc. and the 2009 Ron Landstrom Executive-in-Residence, will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The presentation, titled “Corporate Ethics–A Critical Element of Corporate Culture,” will begin at 12:20 p.m. in the Ockinga Seminar Center Auditorium on the UNK west campus.
Bauhard, a change management expert, holds a bachelor’s degree from UNK and a master’s degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Omnium Worldwide, Inc. is a privately held company that provides accounts receivable management and cost containment services to companies in the communications, financial services, insurance and health care industries.
As CFO, Bauhard provided leadership by helping to increase the shareholder value and was involved in the financial transaction of selling Omnium Worldwide, Inc. to West Corporation. He was also involved in the operational and financial turnaround of Omnium Worldwide when he negotiated a $10 million line of credit and $9 million term loan.
Bauhard has also served as senior vice president CFO and treasurer for The Guarantee Life Companies, Inc., a publicly traded life insurance company that provided group non-medical insurance products and group specialty medical products to small businesses. While CFO of the Guarantee Life Companies, Inc., Bauhard was involved in the acquisition of a $100 million company, a $37 million company, a $15 million business division and a $12 million block of insurance business.
After Bauhard’s presentation, there will be a networking session until 2 p.m. at the Ockinga Seminar Center.
In addition to giving the presentation, Bauhard will meet with various UNK College of Business and Technology classes Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 14 and 15.
