UNK Studio Class Recital Set for Saturday

The University of Nebraska at Kearney flute students taught by Franziska Nabb will perform solos, duets, trios and choir pieces beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Frank House museum.

The students will perform in the Frank House Grand Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; however, donations for the Frank House will be accepted. On various selections, students will be accompanied on piano by Dr. Marilyn Musick of Kearney.

The recital will open with the UNK Flute Choir performing “Prelude and Fuge” Bach. Choir members include Christopher Gugel, Amherst; Brooke Harris, Dickens; Jordan Costell, Humphrey; Daisuke Yamaguchi, Japan; Sarah Cole and Nabb, both of Kearney; Rebecca Godine and JP Tapia, both of McCook; and Kelci Fulton and Katie Trygg, both ofOmaha.

The rest of the afternoon program, including the selection, composer and performer, is as follows:

“Dance” by Hauptmann performed by Hyewon An, Jungmi Kim, Suna Cho and Hyejung Kwon, all of South Korea.

“Sonata II” and “Adagio” by Handel performed by Gordan Costello of Humphrey.

“Largo and Minuetto” by Quantz performed by Melia Deakin of Broken Bow, Emily Case of Gibbon and Nabb.

“Allegro” by Bach performed by Emily Case of Gibbon and Nabb.

“Sonata IV” by Quantz performed by Melia Deakin of Broken Bow and Nabb.

“Sonata in C-major” by Bach performed by JP Tapia of McCook.

“Bourree in G-major” by Handel performed by Katie Trygg of Omaha.

“Eight Pieces” by Hindemith performed by Kelci Fulton of Omaha.

“Concerto in D-major” by Mozart performed by Brooke Harris of Dickens.

“Cassatio in D-major” by von Dittersdorf performed by Kelci Fulton and Katie Trygg, both of Omaha; JP Tapia and Rebecca Godine, both of McCook; and Jordan Costello of Humphrey.
