2009 Educators Employment Fair Tuesday

More than 50 employers from 10 states will be on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus to recruit education majors at the 32nd annual Educators’ Employment Fair on Tuesday, March 31.

The fair, which is sponsored jointly by the UNK Office of Career Services and the College of Education, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union. The event is free and open to the public, and has an open format. This year, approximately 225 UNK education majors are expected to attend.

“Candidates need to remember to have their resume in hand and be sure to dress in business attire,” said Dawn Lenz, UNK Career Services counselor.

School systems are attending the recruiting fair from the states of Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.

Parking lots 20 and 22 will be available for employers and candidates. Lot 20 is located on the Northwest corner of the intersection of 19th Avenue and University Drive, and Lot 22 is west of the Communications Building, off of University Drive.
A van will be available for transportation to and from the parking lots between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
