The University of Nebraska at Kearney choruses will perform a combined holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall.
The Statesmen, Caelestis Cantores and the Choraleers will all showcase their talents during the performance, which is free and open to the public. Pieces performed will include folk, sacred, secular and spiritual works. The Caelestis Cantores will also perform a jazz piece that was composed by Kearney native David Scott, son of local physician Ron and Mary Scott. This is the 24th year that the concert has been performed.

Each choir performs throughout the  year, including singing the National Anthem at events and two major concerts each semester. The Choraleers recently performed for the Nebraska Music Educators State Convention in Lincoln. Membership in Choraleers is determined by competitive audition.
