UNK- Transfer students from community and four-year colleges who are planning to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney this spring can complete the final steps to becoming full-time UNK students on Friday, Dec. 7, at the Transfer and New Student Orientation Day.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Nebraskan Student Union Ponderosa Room. During the course of the event students will participate in an academic advising session with UNK faculty members, be introduced to the different UNK resources, including WebEASI, and register for spring semester classes.

“This is a great opportunity for students who are transferring from another college to interact with faculty, get their schedule and to find out more about the resources available to them at UNK,” said Michael Pelster, assistant director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions.

Any transfer students who have been admitted to UNK may register for Transfer Day online by going to www.unk.edu/admissions/undergrad and clicking on the General Transfer Information and Guidelines link on the Transfer Student Information page.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions, in partnership with the Academic Advising Center and the Registrar’s Office.
