Eric LeMunyan, a University of Nebraska at Kearney senior from Atkinson, took first place honors at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference held recently in Chicago.

LeMunyan, who is majoring in finance and economics, took first place in the financial concepts test.

“There were probably around 40 to 50 students in the competition, because all but four or five states were represented at the national conference, and most of them were probably sent to compete in that test,” LeMunyan said.

Before making it to nationals, LeMunyan also won first place at the PBL State Leadership Conference held in Kearney.

For his achievements at the national conference he received $400 and a first place trophy.
