Meet Jane Patterson Frank, Phoebe McNair Frank, Jeanie Frank Elmendorf, Ella Stedman Frank and Pauline Klauber Stein Frank – the women of the Frank family.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, Sarah Jones, Frank House educational program coordinator, will present “The Women of Early Kearney,” an informational session on the roles women played in the founding of Kearney.

“Several women were instrumental in the functioning of early Kearney society, including the wives of the Franks,” Jones said. “To understand what Kearney was like in 1890, it is necessary to tell the women’s stories too.”

This is one in a series of weekend presentations titled “Frank Talks.” The presentation will begin at 1 p.m. at the G.W. Frank House, which is located on the University of Nebraska at Kearney West Campus. At 1:30 p.m., there will be a tour of the mansion. Light refreshments will also be served.
