SENIOR STUDIO ART STUDENTS TO PRESENT WORKS AT WALKER ART GALLERY

Artwork as diverse as computer graphics, acrylic paintings and screen prints created by senior University of Nebraska at Kearney studio art students will be on display for area residents and students through May 4 in the Walker Art Gallery. The UNK art department requires seniors to participate in a senior art show before graduation.

Participants and the works each exhibited included: Eric Schroetlin, of Butte, “Image Mapping,” print; Eric Nyffeler, of Columbus, “Hydra Black Powder Co. Fireworks,” mixed media; Elissa Sims, of Cozad, “’Bagel 3’ Bagel Shop,” print and acrylic on canvas; Bob Heiden, of Kearney, “Composition Triangle,” mixed media; Lindsay Placzek, of Lincoln, “Laughter: The Scientific Side and Health Benefits,” computer graphics; Dawn Wallinger, of Odell, computer graphics; Rachel Sitzman, of Syracuse, “Devaro Fine Linens,” print; and Andrea Peachey, of Hillsboro, Kan, “Natural Emotion,” print and electronic media.

The show is free and open to the public. The Walker Art Gallery is located in the Art Annex of the Fine Arts Building, and is open weekdays 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:30-4:30 p.m.
