College students transferring to the University of Nebraska at Kearney will have numerous opportunities to begin the transition to a new school Friday, April 20.
Transfer Day, which is sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions, will feature campus tours, academic presentations, financial aid information sessions and various other resources to aid students in the shift to UNK.
Michael Pelster, assistant director of recruitment at UNK, said the day of events holds many advantages for incoming students.
“This event helps students with the transition to UNK from their previous school,” Pelster said. “We provide information about the resources available to them, as well as both academic advising and assistance in the registration process.”
Pelster said around 70 students are expected at the event.

9:30 – 9:45 a.m. Welcome and Overview (Nebraskan Ponderosa Room)
9:45 – 10:05 a.m. Academic Presentation
10:05 – 10:30 a.m. Overview on Using WebEASI
10:30 a.m. – Noon Academic Advising and Registration
