‘CRAZIEST BRASS QUINTET AROUND’ HOLDS RECITAL AT 7:30 P.M., WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4

The “Brass and Music Friends” brass quintet group will perform “more styles of music than you can shake a stick at” in the Fine Arts Recital Hall at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Wednesday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m.

The selection of music at the performance will include the theme from the Super Mario Brothers video game, Johann Sebastian Bach’s Fugue in G minor and the Pink Panther theme, as well as a variety of ragtime pieces.

Members of the group include Adam Eschliman (trumpet), Grand Island; Paul Niedbalski (trombone), Kearney; Jacob Neeman (trumpet), Ord; Joe Brumm (tuba), Wayne; and Corey Marz (French horn), Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The performance will also feature special guests alum Spencer Hansen (trumpet), Kearney; and Shawn Pfanstiel (organ), Holdrege. In addition, Paul Smith, assistant professor of music and performing arts, will contribute his tenor vocals as a guest performer.

The performance is free and open to the public.
