According to John Falconer, director of UNK Sponsored Programs, the SBIR grant program is a “mechanism used by federal granting agencies to fund collaborations between small businesses and higher education to develop and commercialize new technologies.”
Waters will explain the program and how small businesses from the Kearney area can take advantage of the grant’s funding.
Those with questions regarding the program, or who need a parking pass for the event, can contact the Office of Sponsored Programs at 308.865.8496. Requests for parking passes must be made by Jan. 29.
