$MARTMONEY WEEK STOPS AT THE GIBBON PUBLIC LIBRARY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, NOV. 7 AND 9

Those interested in becoming millionaires or learning how to buy a home could find $martMoney Week  presentations held Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 7 & 9, in Gibbon as stepping stones to future financial success.
    
$martMoney Week  is a series of seminars and presentations sponsored by the University of Nebraska at Kearney Center for Economic Education and the Kearney Area $martMoney Advisory Council. Seminars will be held Nov. 6-10 in cities along the I-80 corridor.

This is the first year for some of the presentations to be available in both English and Spanish. Members of the Hispanic Student Association at UNK are volunteering their time to do translating where it is needed.
    
The first $martMoney Week  event in Gibbon, titled “Let’s Grow Some Money!,” is set for Tuesday, Nov. 7. The seminar will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Gibbon Public Library located at 116 LeBarre St.
    
The second presentation, “Want to be a Millionaire?,” will take place on Tuesday at the Gibbon Public Library as well. The presentation will run from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
    
The final two $martMoney Week events scheduled in Gibbon are the Phi Beta Lambda Coffee Break Seminars “Homebuyers’ Workshop – How to buy a Home,” which will be held on Tuesday, and “The ABC’s of Banking,” which is set for Thursday. Both events begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Gibbon Public Library.
    
All four of $martMoney Week  seminars held in Gibbon will be presented in both English and Spanish.
    
Mary Rittenhouse, director of the UNK Center for Economic Education, said that $martMoney Week  is designed to educate consumers about personal financial management and entrepreneurship, and to create awareness of a wide range of topics such as home ownership, investing, budgeting, identity theft, retirement financing, the value of saving and how to start a private business.
