United Way UNK Campaign Thank you Event And Campus Kitchen Fundraiser
Thursday, October 26th, 5-6pm
UNK Student Union
What :
A cook-off between six prominent men from UNK, the community and the student body.
Why:
As a fund-raiser for the Campus Kitchen and final wrap-up, “Thank you” event for the United Way UNK Campaign
Product:
Homecoming Tailgating Hors d’oeuvres or munchies to be made by each person, using simple
ingredients. (Quantity to make will be 6-12 for judges only). The idea of using food that
might be surplus food like the Campus Kitchen uses was mentioned, but that will be up to the cooks.
(We don’t want to make it too hard or complicated to ensure maximum participation by our targeted cooks.)
It should be fun and interesting going along with the Homecoming theme of Hollywood Homecoming.
Judging: Judging will be done by several prominent Kearney women. The judging will be done in fun and
good humor. Attendees will be asked to make a donation at the entrance to benefit Campus Kitchen.
Munchies are being provided by United Way to minimize the work load for students during
Homecoming week.
