Dr. Keith Geluso, assistant professor of biology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, was recently appointed the associate editor for the Western North American Naturalist.

As an associate editor, Dr. Geluso will evaluate submissions to the journal, as well as identify and comment on manuscripts to be published.

Richard Baumann, the managing editor of the Western North American Naturalist, said that the one of the reasons why Dr. Geluso was appointed as an associate editor was his outstanding reputation in his area of expertise, which includes bats, rodents and other small mammals.

The Western North American Naturalist is a quarterly publication that has been printed for more than 65 years. The journal publishes research pertaining to the biological natural history of western North America.
