Sigma Beta Delta, an international business, management and administration honor society, recently initiated undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Presiding officers for the UNK Sigma Beta Delta initiation ceremony were Dr. Tim Burkink of the Department of Marketing and MIS; Dr. Laurie Swinney of the Department of Accounting and Finance; and Marsha Yeagley of the Department of Marketing and MIS.
Dr. Bruce Forster, dean of the College of Business & Technology and an honorary Sigma Beta Delta inductee, spoke to the group. His topic was titled “Reflections on Deaning and Leadership: Nature, Nurture, and Serendipity.”
According to the Sigma Beta Delta Web site, the purpose of the honor society is to “recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business, management and administration, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by service.”
