The first bout of the sixth annual arm wrestling tourney at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will be a heated match between the new student body president and his right-hand man.
Mike Eiberger, UNK student body president, and Kevin Wait, student body vice president, will kick off the tournament, set to begin at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29.
According to Kellie Prather, a UNK student from Grand Island , the tournament brackets have begun to fill up with 12 contestants already signed up. UNK students and faculty can sign up for the tournament up to that night for $5.
The tournament, which will be held in the Ponderosa Room of the Nebraskan Student Union, will raise money to benefit those living with Muscular Dystrophy. General admission is $2.
This event is open to the public.
