Each year the University of Nebraska at Kearney chapter of Kappa Pi, an international art honor society, invites students to submit their art work for a campus-wide competition.

The 2006 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition includes works by 25 students. The show is on exhibit in the Walker Art Gallery from March 5 – March 17.

Entries were limited to six categories: graphic design, paper, canvas, ceramics, sculpture and glass. Any works created during the spring of 2005 through the spring of 2006 by an undergraduate student at UNK were eligible.

This year, the competition was juried by Ben Sum, an assistant professor of art at the Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

Awards for the 2006 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition will be announced March 5. Best of Show  along with first through third places will be awarded by the juror in each of the categories.
