High school seniors interested in attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney will have the opportunity to check out the campus, thanks to the Loper Preview Day event on Monday, Dec. 5.
The purpose of this event is to give students a first-hand look at life at UNK, and allow them to interact with current UNK students.
During the course of the day, students will take a walking guided tour of the campus, have lunch in the cafeteria and find out about what attending UNK is really like from a panel of students currently enrolled at UNK. Seniors also receive information about the admissions process, financial aid and scholarships, and the various student life opportunities on campus.
According to Campus Visit Coordinator LeeAnn Amm, approximately 20 high school seniors from towns across Nebraska have already registered to attend.
Students interested in the preview days events can register online by going to www.unk.edu and clicking on the Prospective Students button on the right-hand side of the page. Registration is free and is limited to the first 100 students, Amm said, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
