U.S. – Iranian Relations and Nuclear Power Subjec of Presentation Friday

Dr. Solemain Kiasatpour,  a political science professor at Western Kentucky University, will address U.S.-Iranian relations in a 4 p.m. presentation Friday, Dec. 9, in Copeland Hall, Room 140, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Dr. Kiasatpour will discuss the politics of nuclear energy and “weapons of mass destruction” at the center of the U.S.-Iranian conflict.

According to Dr. William Aviles, UNK assistant professor of political science, Dr. Kiasatpour’s research and teaching interests focus on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East as well as Middle Eastern politics.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is jointly sponsored by the UNK Department of Political Science, Faculty Senate Artists & Lecturers Committee, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Kearney Area Peacemakers.
