Lambda theta Nu Sorority chartered at UNK; Reception Wednesday, Nebraska Student Union

Lambda Theta Nu sorority has been chartered at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, according to Cami Wacker, UNK associate director of Student Development & Retention Programs in the Office of Residential & Greek Life.

A welcome reception will take place from 4:30 – 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the Nebraskan Student Union Sandhills Room. The reception is sponsored by the dean of Student Life, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Office of Residential and Greek Life.

“The purpose of Lambda Theta Nu is to open doors of opportunity to the Latinas of our community,” Wacker said.

Charter members of the sorority are: Erica Sanchez and Sarah Stich, both of Alliance;  Sheila Quintana of Grand Island; and Karla Gomez, Elizabeth Lopez, Carmen Montes and Karime Rios, all of Lexington.

The reception is free and open to the public.
