Five political science students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will give their views of what’s ahead in Nebraska’s Third Congressional District primary election in the next edition of NET Television’s “Statewide.”
The show, which will air Friday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. and again Sunday, Nov. 13, at noon, features reporter Perry Stoner interviewing the students, and UNK political science faculty Drs. Diane Duffin and Peter Longo.
While there are numerous contenders who want to fill the open Congressional seat, Stoner quizzes the students and faculty about what they consider to be the top issues, and how candidates can rise above the crowded field.
Students interviewed for the story include Alicia Mueller of Grand Island, Tom McCarty ofLexington, Josh Dethlefsen of Sutherland, Chris Weiss of York, and Danielle Temple ofColorado Springs, Colo.
“Statewide,” NET Television’s award-winning weekly news magazine, will repeat on NET2 on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesdays, Nov. 15, at 1:30 p.m.
Each episode of “Statewide” offers a variety of reports on issues, events and people important to Nebraskans by veteran journalists with comprehensive knowledge of Nebraska.
A production of the News and Public Affairs Unit of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Television for broadcast on NET Television, “Statewide” is also closed-captioned for hearing-impaired viewers.
