Joe Macomber, the separation science manager at Polymicro Technologies LLC in Phoenix, Ariz., will give the annual Don Fox Lecture at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, in the Nebraskan Student Union Cedar Room.

A 1985 Kearney State College/University of Nebraska at Kearney chemistry graduate, Macomber has had seven publications in professional journals and holds three patents.

After graduation, Macomber joined Isco, Inc. in Lincoln where he worked as an instrumentation and research chemist.  He went on to hold supervisory positions in Isco’s Capillary Electrophoresis products area and Supercritical Fluid Extraction program.  He also contributes to the scientific knowledge base in analytical chemistry.

Macomber spent a short time as a Contract Scientist at Pfizer, Inc. in Lincoln before joining the Inside Technical Sales division at Polymicro Technologies LLC.  As the separation science manager at Polymicro Technologies LLC, he is responsible for managing capillary and capillary-related product lines, and overseeing new product development.
