UNK Advising Day is set for 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Central Community College in Grand Island.
Returning this fall in a new format is the MBA degree, according to Gloria Vavricka, director of Off-Campus for the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
“The MBA will now be offered by distance learning in a blended format with half of the program offered online,” she said. “The remainder of the program will be offered in Grand Island by distance technology.”
Two undergraduate degrees returning this fall are business management and criminal justice. “These programs are also offered in the same format as the MBA,” she said. “All of these programs are designed for the working adult who has professional or personal commitments and is unable to attend classes during the day or on the UNK campus.” Students will attend class only one night a week, yet earn six credit hours each semester.
Continuing to be offered in Grand Island this fall will be courses in counseling.
UNK offers online full degree programs in the areas of biology and education. Online courses are also available in business, management, political science and recreation.
At UNK Advising Day, college advisers for business, education and counseling, as well as representatives from Admissions, Registrar’s Office, Graduate Office and the library will be on hand to assist students.
