The University of Nebraska at Kearney College of Business and Technology will initiate 30 outstanding business students into the Sigma Beta Delta national honor society for business, management and administration tonight (April 8) at 7 o’clock in the Nebraskan Student Union Great Room.
Students who rank in the top 10 percent of the junior class, and top 20 percent of senior or master’s classes at schools with Sigma Beta Delta chapters are eligible for invitation to membership in the society.
Sigma Beta Delta was founded as a national organization in 1994 through the sponsorship of Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and was established to provide an opportunity for faculty at institutions with regional accreditation, but not specialized accreditation in business, to confer on their business, management or administration students national recognition for their outstanding academic achievements. The society also encourages and promotes aspirations toward personal and professional improvement, and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
Honorary membership was awarded to Jeanne Ross of Kearney. Ross is the retired cofounder and president of Curtis & Associates.
