Chemistry Camp for talented high school students is one of four camps set for June 6-12 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Students who are completing their sophomore or junior year may apply for one of four camps that will be held simultaneously: 6th Annual Adventures in Chemistry Camp, Outdoor Biology at UNK Camp, UNK Tech Camp, or the Politics and Popular Culture Camp.

Each camp will accommodate up to a dozen students, and individual camp fees range between $50 and $150, which include room and board. A $50 deposit is due when accepting an invitation to attend camp; the remainder is payable upon arrival at UNK. For more information, go to the camp program website, http://www.unk.edu/nsscamp, or contact Dr. Exstrom at 308.865.8565 or nsscamp@unk.edu.

“Students will engage in interesting subject matter and work closely with university faculty members and state-of-the-art equipment,” said Dr. Christopher Exstrom, chair of the UNK Department of Chemistry and coordinator of the summer camp program. “This is a great opportunity for students to gain a college-level learning experience that is fun and very informative about important issues in the sciences.”
