The University of Nebraska at Kearney Concerts-on-the-Platte recital series will feature a quartet of Kearney-area musicians performing American Romantic Standards of the 20th Century in a 7:30 p.m. concert Thursday, March 11, in the UNK Fine Arts Recital Hall.

Quartet members include Wes Hird on guitar, Greg Tesdall on saxophone, Verle Straatmann on keyboard and Dr. Ron Crocker, UNK professor of music, on drums. The four will play works by Kern, Gershwin, Hamlisch, Lennon/McCartney, Rodgers/Hart and others.

The performance is free and open to the public.
