The University of Nebraska at Kearney Xi Phi Chapter of Mortar Board will accept applications for the 2004-2005 academic year now through Jan. 30, according to Dr. Kenya Taylor, Mortar Board adviser.
Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
Candidate Information Sheets can be obtained at any of the following locations: Nebraskan Student Union, Calvin T. Ryan Library, Otto Olsen Room 116, West Center E104, Memorial Student Affairs Building-Admissions Office, Health and Sports Center-Athletic Office, or online atwww.unk.edu/student_org/mort_board/mbhome.htm.
All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 30, and must be addressed to Mortar Board, Box 128, UNK, Kearney, NE 68849.
“Those interested in applying must be enrolled as a full-time student, have a 3.2 cumulative GPA, have a minimum of 88 credit hours completed by May 2004 and graduate no sooner than December 2004,” Dr. Taylor said.
