Attendance at the Health and Human Services Career Fair held recently at the University of Nebraska at Kearney was the largest ever in the number of students, high schools and health science representatives present.
“The career fair was a tremendous success with representatives from more than 50 programs present and the hottest fields were pharmacy and radiologic technology,” said Peggy Abels, UNK health sciences director. “More than 100 UNK students attended, and more than 300 high school students signed in from high schools across the state. This was by far the largest attendance ever and the feedback was very positive.”
High school students from the following communities attended: Ansley, Aquinas David City, Axtell, Cambridge, Cedar Rapids, Centennial, Doniphan-Trumbull, Eustis-Farnam, Franklin,Gothenburg, Hampton, Kearney Catholic, Kearney High, Kenesaw, Litchfield, Loomis, North Platte St. Patrick’s, Overton, Palmer, Pleasanton, Ravenna, St. Edward, Sandy Creek, Sterling, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, Sutherland, Waterloo and York.
