The University of Nebraska at Kearney Department of Music is holding “An Evening of Concert Dance” on March 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Miriam Drake Theatre.

The performance, entitled Carmina Burana, is a collaboration of the Choraleers, the Wind Ensemble, and the theatre department. The work will be a dance interpretation of the music. The performance will be directed by Gary Schaaf, UNK professor of music and performing arts.

The show is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of dance as an academic discipline. “It will truly be an artistic evening,” Gary Schaaf said.

Tickets for the performance are $5 each and can be reserved by calling the UNK Box Office at (308) 865-8417, or sending an e-mail to boxoffice@unk.edu. Office hours are Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and one hour prior to each performance. The audience is strongly encouraged to purchase tickets early.
