The Advertising and Public Relations Club at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will host its second annual Job & Internship Seminar on November 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Copeland Hall, room 130.
Five media professionals will tell what they look for in potential employees in terms of resumes, portfolios, interview attire and attitude. The guest speakers are Charles Hull, co-owner and co-founder of Archrival ad agency in Lincoln; David Buchholz, president and creative director from David & Associates of Hastings; Mike Wallace, NTV creative services manager of Kearney; Glennis Nagel, UNK Continuing Studies director of marketing and communications; and Diana Kircher, acting assistant director of UNK’s Career Services.
Five UNK communications students will share their internship adventures at the seminar. The interns are Abbie Green of Tilden, representing BBDO, New York City; Erin Grotts from Sterling, Colo. discussing Bozell & Jacobs, Omaha; Brooke Peterson of Kearney representing the Kansas City Comets; Erica Wendland of Oshkosh discussing the UNK Student Activities Council; and Aaron Asay of Kearney speaking on NTV and 10-11.
